About The Position

Sodexo is hiring our Environmental Services Custodial Manager to play a key leadership role in delivering a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the University at Buffalo’s large urban campus. Salary: $62,353.20 Overseeing custodial operations across 195 buildings and three university locations, this position ensures high-quality service delivery, strong team performance, and exceptional client satisfaction. This role requires a confident leader who can motivate a diverse union workforce, maintain strong client relationships, and uphold Sodexo’s commitment to purposeful, people-centered service. This is a daytime, 1st‑shift position (8:00am–4:30pm) with required weekend availability. This role will work Full Time Days WEEKENDS REQUIRED with 2 consecutive days off during the weekdays.

Requirements

  • Lead, train, and motivate custodial services staff to ensure all tasks, schedules, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Conduct regular training sessions, prepare daily inspection reports, and maintain strong communication with university faculty, staff, and clients.
  • Monitor and maintain custodial equipment, track supply inventory, and oversee ordering to support efficient operations.
  • Perform and supervise custodial tasks including trash and recycling removal, event setup/teardown, and operation of custodial equipment and vehicles.
  • Manage administrative responsibilities, support hiring and performance management, and assume departmental leadership in the absence of the Account Operations Manager.
  • Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
