You’ll work closely with principals, administrative staff, and a team of 50 union custodial employees to deliver high‑quality service, manage seasonal projects, and uphold district standards. With a long-standing 32‑year partnership in place and a strong supervisory team of Tulsa Schools Supervisors, this position is ideal for a leader who thrives in schools, builds trust through presence, and isn’t afraid to jump in alongside the team. What You'll Do Work Primarily Days M-F 8:00am-5:00pm with ONE Rotational Week (every SIX weeks) working Swing Shift 1:00-9:30pm Maintain a strong on‑site presence in schools, building relationships with principals, administrative staff, and custodial teams. Oversee and support 4 Tulsa Custodial Supervisors and 50 union custodial employees, providing coaching, training, and hands‑on guidance. Manage seasonal and large‑scale projects, including summer deep cleaning, stripping and waxing floors, and supporting asbestos management plans. Coordinate custodial support for district facilities including 6 swimming pools, 6 high school stadiums with locker rooms, and special events. Lead daily custodial operations across 15 school buildings, ensuring consistent quality, safety, and service delivery. What You Bring Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust, communicate effectively, and collaborate with principals and district leaders. Experience in custodial operations, including floor care, equipment use, and minor equipment maintenance. Knowledge of custodial chemicals, safety practices, and the ability to train staff 1:1 in best practices. Flexibility to work a primarily Monday–Friday 8:00–5:00 schedule, with a rotational evening shift (1:00–9:30pm) one week every six weeks during the school year.
