About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services Manager at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ, a 673-bed acute care facility. This is a Day Shift position, starting at 6:30 a.m., and requires working every other weekend and including Holiday coverage. The manager will oversee a team of 46. Sodexo Healthcare Environmental Services/Housekeeping teams direct housekeeping operations at healthcare client locations, partnering to deliver innovative solutions. These teams are responsible for driving client satisfaction by providing stellar customer service through effective communication with all levels of hospital staff and follow-through on action items impacting both client and patient satisfaction. At Sodexo Healthcare, the focus is on creating a clean, healthy, and comfortable environment for hospitals, which is crucial to the full patient experience.

Requirements

have experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timelines
are results and safety driven
have in-depth knowledge of housekeeping systems and procedures
have experience with vendor and contract management, as well as union and contract negotiations
have 3-5 years previous custodial / housekeeping or similar management experience
are proficient with computers and other technology
Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

in a hospital, healthcare experience preferred but not required
