Environmental Services Associate Part-Time

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Environmental Services Associate to join our senior living community and support our mission of providing outstanding service every day. The Part-Time Environmental Services Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment within our Assisted Living Community. This role directly supports the health, dignity, and well-being of our residents by ensuring their apartments and shared spaces feel like home. The Environmental Services Associate plays a key role in infection prevention, resident satisfaction, and overall quality of life.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred, ideally in healthcare or senior living
- Understanding of infection control practices preferred
- Compassionate attitude and respect for older adults
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling (up to 40 pounds)
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and machinery
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize resident apartments, including bathrooms, kitchenettes, and living areas, according to established schedules
- Clean and sanitize carpets in resident apartments and common areas as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, including dining rooms, activity spaces, hallways, restrooms, offices, and lounges
- Follow infection control procedures and universal precautions at all times
- Perform routine and deep cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting, polishing, and trash removal
- Complete apartment turnovers in preparation for new residents
- Replenish supplies such as paper products, soap, sanitizer, and cleaning materials
- Properly handle, label, and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with company policies and OSHA guidelines
- Identify and report maintenance, safety, or environmental concerns promptly
- Maintain cleaning equipment in safe and proper working condition
- Interact courteously and respectfully with residents, families, and team members
- Support special events or community activities with cleaning setup and breakdown as needed
