Provides cleaning and sanitizing services to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming hospital environment. Supports patient safety by following infection control standards and hospital protocols. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience preferred
  • No prior experience required; training provided
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, squat, and lift 35 lbs. or more than 80% of the shift
  • Requires ability to climb ladders and operate cleaning equipment for cleaning floors in patient care areas
  • Must wear required PPE (gowns, gloves, eye protection, closed‑toe footwear)
  • Requires the ability to perform cleaning in high‑acuity areas including OR, ED, NICU, Mother‑Baby, IR, and Cardiac Cath

Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, clinical/procedural areas, offices, and public spaces
  • Follow infection prevention, safety, and waste disposal protocols
  • Remove hazardous and biohazardous waste per regulations
  • Use approved cleaning tools and light floor‑care equipment
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care flow
