About The Position

It's more than a career, it's a calling. The position involves maintaining floor surfaces and stairwells, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, buffing, polishing, scrubbing, stripping, vacuuming, spot cleaning, and extracting using heavy equipment. The role may also include performing restoration functions on highly soiled or worn areas in flooring.

Requirements

  • No experience required.
  • Proof of motor vehicle liability insurance that meets minimum state requirements upon hire and upon request.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains floor surfaces and stairwells, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, buffing, polishing, scrubbing, stripping, vacuuming, spot cleaning, and extracting using heavy equipment.
  • Completes documentation of project work performed on appropriate forms within established time frames.
  • Identifies self, respects privacy and confidentiality when serving patients and other customers.
  • Assembles necessary cleaning supplies and equipment for the specific work assignment and reports equipment that is in need of repair.
  • Cleans and maintains all equipment used on shift including vacuum, cart, mop buckets, floor machines, floor signs, trash carts, furniture moving equipment, and all other equipment necessary to perform the functions of this job according to established procedure.
  • Utilizes the appropriate chemicals, supplies, and cleaning techniques according to procedures and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Ensures all chemicals are safely stored, handled, and disposed of as stated on the material safety data sheets.
  • Adheres to safety precautions, policies, procedures and standards for handling infectious wastes, hazardous materials, waste spills, and exposures.
  • Reports all events as required by ministry documentation standards.
  • Replenishes supplies and materials in assigned areas.
  • May transport trash, hazardous waste, soiled linen, and recyclable trash to appropriate disposal areas following policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Drives company vehicle between campuses.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
