The Environmental Services Assistant performs the following functions on a regular basis:

Requirements

• The successful candidate will have the ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• The ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions and take action on coaching and feedback.
• Any offer of employment is contingent upon the results of a criminal background check, drug screen and verification of employment and credentials.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in environmental services / housekeeping is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, kick plates, push plates, switch plates and heating/cooling units
• Clean, wash, sanitize and/or polish bathroom fixtures, assuring that water marks are removed from fixtures.
• Clean floors/corners/baseboards by sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, disinfecting, etc
• Clean carpets by vacuuming, deodorizing and disinfecting.
• Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing.
• Clean hallways, stairways and elevators/elevator tracks.
• Discard trash and recyclable materials into proper containers and reline trash receptacles with plastic liners.
• Clean occupied and vacant rooms as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as directed by Supervisor.
