RESPONSIBILITIES Custodial Operations. Systematically inspect USSRC buildings, facilities, and grounds to ensure effective levels of cleanliness and safety. Ensure that requests for custodial services are completed promptly and in a manner that meets the Mission, Vision, and Spirit of the USSRC. Maintain accurate and current records of inventory regarding cleaning materials, supplies, and equipment. Essential Functions Have a willingness to be open to learning and growing. Effectively monitors staff performance and offers appropriate coaching, counseling or supervision as required. Completes staff evaluations, documentation, etc., on time and effectively. Serves as an effective role model to staff by demonstrating exemplary work ethic. Level of Supervision: None Travel Required : No QUALIFICATIONS Must be detail oriented and knowledgeable of custodial standards and practices. Must be knowledgeable of the use, disposal, and handling of chemicals, cleaners, and equipment common to custodial trade. Must be able to lead, direct, and schedule staff and resources. Other: Valid driver's license in good standing Required Education High school or GED required. Required Experience Work Experience: 2 years' experience in custodial field with 1-year custodial supervisory experience required OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Requirements This position has the following special requirements: Extensive walking, climbing (stairs) to conduct inspections of buildings, facilities, and grounds and to access other departments and buildings. Carrying, lifting equipment, supplies up to 50lbs waist high. Must be able to work with and handle high pressure cleaning. Bending, Kneeling, reaching to store / retrieve supplies, inspect buildings, facilities, and grounds. Sight, Wrist Movements, feeling to operate computer terminal, utilize various tools and equipment, and inspect buildings, facilities, and grounds. Talking, hearing to instruct employees and assist guests and service providers in person and over the telephone. Custodial Operations. Carpet Cleaning. Rocket Park. Stripping/Waxing Floors. All Habitat Areas. High Pressure Cleaning. USSRC Parking Area General Housekeeping. Administrative Offices. Trash Collection. Common / Public Areas. Grounds Maintenance, as assigned Glass Cleaning. Ensure that the custodial department has supplies and equipment necessary to conduct daily operations. Respond to, and whenever possible, resolve guests’ questions and complaints promptly and in a manner that reflects the Mission, Vision, and Spirit of the USSRC. Meet or exceed the expectations of the Custodial Manager for the accurate and timely completion of related tasks and assignments. Eligibility Qualifications Must be authorized to work in the United States. WORK ENVIRONMENT Environmental Factors This position involves working in a climate-controlled building that is subject to noisy, dusty conditions. This position will involve working outside in various weather conditions. This position will involve working during 2nd and 3rd shifts. This position deals with guests, service providers, and employees who interact with assigned areas of responsibility. This position is subject to the occupational hazards that are involved in working with materials, supplies, and equipment of the custodial field.
