The Environmental Services Assistant / Housekeeping position at our Dallas hospital involves a variety of cleaning and laundry responsibilities to maintain a safe and sanitary environment for our patients and staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 3 months of related experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas of the hospital
• Perform routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, offices, and stairways in a clean and sanitary manner
• Assist with function set up, break downs, and clean up
• Clean and maintain all carpeted and hard surfaces in the facility
• Ensure that soiled linens are processed in a manner which will avoid the transfer of microorganisms
• Transport soiled linen to the laundry department
• Sort all soiled linen appropriately
• Wash all soiled linen as needed
• Fold clean linen as needed
• Store and deliver clean linen to all departments
• Ensure laundering of designated staff, physician, and auxiliary uniforms
