Cleveland Clinic’s Environmental Services Department is consistently among the highest-performing EVS teams in healthcare, and we’re looking to add an Environmental Services Area Cleaner to our team to create the comfortable and safe environment our patients have come to expect. The Environmental Services Area Cleaner role is a steppingstone to other careers within Environmental Services and other departments within Cleveland Clinic. A caregiver in this position works days from 7:30AM – 4:00PM, including rotating weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, ancillary areas, exam rooms, offices, waiting areas, public restrooms and other assigned areas.
• Perform cleaning tasks using appropriate cleaning products, including wiping down surfaces and cleaning spills.
• Meet organizational expectations on patient experience (HCAHPS) and patient access (total cycle time) metrics within inpatient and discharge scope.
• Stock paper items and other supplies in patient rooms, exam rooms and restrooms.
• Follow scripting, policies and procedures on patient isolation and all Environmental Services technical and procedural standard operating procedures.
• Follow and adhere to all hospital-wide and departmental safety requirements.
• Complete six months of on-the-job training to learn developmental polices and procedures, various cleaning techniques and proper use and storage of cleaning agents and chemicals.
