Cleveland Clinic’s Environmental Services Department is consistently among the highest-performing EVS teams in healthcare, and we’re looking to add an Environmental Services Area Cleaner to our team to create the comfortable and safe environment our patients have come to expect. The Environmental Services Area Cleaner role is a steppingstone to other careers within Environmental Services and other departments within Cleveland Clinic. A caregiver in this position works PRN (as needed) from 7:30AM – 4:00PM, with availability to work Monday-Friday and rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Clean ancillary and emergency room areas, exam rooms, offices, waiting areas, public restrooms and other assigned areas in outpatient non-surgical settings.
  • Use appropriate cleaning products in wiping down surfaces, cleaning spills, emptying garbage cans, cleaning furniture and other tasks as assigned.
  • Stock paper items and other supplies in patient rooms, exam rooms and restrooms.
  • Follow departmental policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Follow and adhere to all hospital-wide and departmental safety requirements.
  • Complete one to three months of on-the-job training to learn departmental policies and procedures, various cleaning techniques and proper use and storage of cleaning agents and chemicals.
