About The Position

The Environmental Services Aide (EVS) at El Paso Rehabilitation Hospital plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. This position involves daily cleaning tasks, adherence to infection control policies, and support for the overall patient care experience in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and other hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, corridors, walls, and windows daily or as scheduled.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, and/or shine floors; replace paper and soap products in restrooms, clean mirrors, sinks, and toilets.
• Operate various types of equipment and machinery including vacuums and floor scrubbers.
• Collect and remove trash from the building each day.
• Responsible for stocking linens throughout the hospital.
• Adhere to all infection control policies and procedures.
• Report safety hazards to supervisor.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
