Part Time Environmental Service Worker
About The Position
The primary purpose for our housekeepers/laundry: To maintain a safe and clean facility for our residents, staff, and visitors. To perform housekeeping and cleaning activities within well established guidelines and assigned areas. To follow COVID-19 precautions, cleaning schedules and assignment sheets for daily, weekly, and/or monthly cleaning as needed. This job includes, cleaning floors, dry mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting, laundry, and emptying waste baskets. Housekeepers clean walls, windows, mirrors, restrooms, as well as other rooms as needed. Housekeepers inspect furnishings for wear and defects and report to supervisor or maintenance, replenish any and all supplies as needed, and properly maintain all equipment used in performing duties. Must be pleasant, courteous and tactful when dealing with residents, employees, families, state employees, and vendors. Wage is based on experience. Three days per week. Marian Home offers tuition assistance for St. Edmond Catholic School in Fort Dodge, IA which pays half tuition for each child attending Saint Edmond for employees that work 20 hours or more per week.
