Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive environment adhering to established policies and procedures, quality assurance program(s), safety, environmental and infection control standards. This role involves utilizing appropriate work practices commensurate with the environment of work, including interaction with neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, mature adults, older adults, and psychiatric care patients. The position requires the ability to speak and read English at a level sufficient to perform essential functions, knowledge of standard office equipment (calculator, fax, photocopier), and personal computer skills (MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Proficient Windows computer skills, including keyboarding, mouse usage, selecting items, using drop-down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying, and similar operations, are required upon employment or within the first two weeks. The Environmental Service Worker performs other duties as assigned, follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards, and carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.
