About The Position

The Environmental Service Worker is responsible for the overall custodial work of the CHI facilities.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or GED equivalent desired.
  • One year experience in custodial work.
  • Maintain current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License Preferred.
  • Knowledge of materials, Schedule Flexibility Required, Methods, and equipment used in custodial work.
  • Physical agility required performing assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Required to strip, scrub, wax, and polishes floors.
  • Dust and polishes furniture.
  • Washes windows, woodwork, walls, toilets, washrooms, and fixtures.
  • Shampoo and vacuum carpets, clean exam tables and other equipment.
  • Spray for insects as directed.
  • Removal of infectious waste.
  • Empty trashcans, refill paper towel dispensers and hand soap.
  • Replaces burnt out bulbs.
  • Assist in making simple repairs to building and clean equipment as directed.
  • Moves offices and institutional furniture and equipment from place to place as directed.
  • Removal of debris and other trash.
  • Reports to work on time and ready to work with minimal absenteeism.
  • Adheres to Confidentiality Policies & Procedures / HIPAA Regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
