About The Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Worker I to join our team. The Environmental Services Worker I will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in our healthcare facility, which is essential to ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained. This position is represented by CHEU and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Requirements
- High School GED - General Studies

- Hospital or other institutional environmental service experience
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, and other areas of the facility
- Follow established cleaning and disinfection protocols and procedures
- Collect and dispose of biohazardous waste and linens
- Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms and common areas
- Respond to requests for cleaning services from healthcare staff
- You may operate heavy-duty equipment and use special cleaning equipment.
