About The Position
Knapp Medical Center, a member of the Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an award-winning, not-for-profit hospital in Weslaco, Texas. It is a 227-bed community hospital specializing in emergency care, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, wound care, surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology, critical care, and interventional radiology. Knapp serves as the only acute care hospital in the Mid-Valley area, a Level III Trauma Center, Advanced Primary Stroke Center, and Level II Newborn Nursery. Knapp has been providing quality and compassionate healthcare to Mid-Valley residents for 60 years. More than 300 physicians serve on the hospital's medical staff, and the center employs more than 450 people.
Requirements
- Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Responsibilities
- Maintaining a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling from one facility to another without assistance.
- Respond to and initiate communication by phone, handheld radios, pagers etc.
