About The Position

As an Environmental Service Technician, youll bring care, consistency, and attention to detail to every task. Youll maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards throughout the center ensuring that participants, staff, and visitors have a healthy and comfortable environment. This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, versatile, and enjoys hands-on work. Requirements

  • Friendly, dependable, and able to work with people from all walks of life.
  • Even-keeled and adaptable; able to shift smoothly as demands change.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative; values communication and shared success.
  • Comfortable following routines while using good judgment in daily work.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain after hire well provide training!)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 13 years janitorial experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Successful completion of background check, physical, drug screening, TB Screening
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist with safety or emergency procedures when necessary.
  • May encounter environmental challenges proper protocols must be followed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with the frail or elderly population is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize all areas of the center, including public spaces, restrooms, and medical areas.
  • Disinfect and maintain exam rooms, tables, and other surfaces following proper procedures.
  • Understand and follow the companys Infection Control policies.
  • Handle and mix cleaning chemicals safely and correctly.
  • Restock supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels throughout the day.
  • Store and rotate cleaning products according to company policy.
  • Order and organize cleaning and housekeeping supplies.
  • Lift and move cleaning materials and refuse as required.
  • Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as painting or picture hanging.
  • Serve as a contact for outside service companies, contractors, and deliveries.
  • Observe and report any maintenance or safety issues to the Maintenance & Life Safety Compliance Manager.
  • Follow work assignment flow to complete tasks promptly.
  • Maintain infection control and health safety standards.
  • Participate in ongoing Quality Initiative training.
  • Build rapport with participants, staff, and visitors through respectful communication.
