About The Position

The Environmental Service Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within the Crozer-Keystone Health System hospitals. This full-time position involves performing routine and specialized cleaning tasks to uphold departmental quality standards, ensuring that patient areas and common spaces are hygienic and welcoming.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and write effectively.
• Experience in environmental services preferred, but on-the-job training will be provided.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties following the 10 Step Cleaning Process.
• Pull trash and sanitize all horizontal and patient contact surfaces.
• Clean bathrooms and inspect work for quality assurance.
• Dust mop and damp mop floors in patient rooms and corridors.
• Interact with patients in a respectful and professional manner.
• Move hazardous waste to designated areas and manage trash removal.
• Replenish cleaning supplies as needed and assist with special projects such as wall washing and carpet spotting.
• Sanitize waste cans, bed tables, and other frequently touched surfaces.
• Clean and prepare patient discharge areas, including wiping down beds and furniture.
