About The Position

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST - FACILITIES AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM / SOUTHERN SERVICE CENTER The reporting location for this position is San Diego, CA. This position will work under the supervision of the Senior Environmental Scientist. Based at the Southern Service Center in San Diego, and under the general supervision of the Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory), this position supports the coordination, preparation, and review of environmental documents and regulatory permits for Department projects. The role involves scientific assessments and field reviews to ensure compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Public Resources Code (PRC), and other environmental regulations, such as the Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Acts. The incumbent serves on multi-disciplinary teams, provides resource management expertise, prepares reports and presentations for various agencies, and assists with property research and permitting. Additional duties include supporting or overseeing environmental studies and contracts. This position requires a valid California Class "C" driver's license. Requirements

  • Valid California Class "C" driver's license
  • Meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification(s).
