About The Position
The Environmental Scientist uses knowledge of the natural sciences, gained through formal education and/or direct experience in a related field, to contribute to project and programs that protect the environment. The Scientist identifies problems and finds solutions that minimize hazards to the health of the environment and the population. The Scientist would be expected to train in all environmental programs such as air quality, water quality, and waste management and participate in all field work activities. Experience with nuclear power, regulation interpretation, or environmental permitting is a plus. This role requires public speaking, reading comprehension, and record keeping skills. Scientist may be trained in and maintain HAZWOPER, RCRA, and DOT Shipper qualifications. The Environmental Scientist Senior utilizes advanced knowledge of the natural sciences and experience gained through formal education and experience in a related field, to lead projects and programs that protect the environment. Interprets regulatory requirements, identifies problems and provides complex solutions that minimize hazards to the health of the environment and the population.
