Environmental Scientist III
About The Position
AECOM is seeking an experienced Air Quality Scientist for immediate employment at our Chelmsford, MA office. This position is within our air permitting and modeling group. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Air quality dispersion modeling using various Gaussian-and Lagrangian-based models Experience processing geophysical and meteorological data for input to dispersion models and interpreting modeling results. Excellent oral and written communications skills and be a self-starter. Experience with GIS and Lakes Environmental software packages and FORTRAN programming is a plus.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in meteorology/atmospheric science or environmental engineering +4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- 4+ years of air quality modeling experience.
- Due to the nature of work, US citizenship required.
Nice To Haves
- Master's Degree
- 6 years of air quality modeling experience.
- Ability to work well in teams.
- Experience with GIS and Lakes Environmental software packages and FORTRAN programming is a plus.
