Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; M.Sc./M.Eng. with relevant experience will be considered
  • Non-academic experience in the field of environmental sciences/engineering (consulting experience is a plus)
  • Field experience with contaminated site investigation and/or remediation with a consulting company in the USA is a plus
  • Environmental litigation support experience with a consulting company in the USA is a plus
  • Familiarity with environmental chemistry, statistical analysis, contaminant fate and transport, and/or allocation of environmental contamination response costs is a plus
  • Strong interest in career and professional development within a dynamic consulting environment
  • Excellent communication, organization, and writing skills
  • Detail oriented, able to work independently, and manage time effectively
  • Strong ability to prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Organizing, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting environmental chemistry data
  • Technically reviewing and summarizing documents (e.g., historical operations, environmental reports, regulations, agency correspondence, testimony) to support environmental litigation matters
  • Preparing technical memoranda, portions of expert reports, and presentations
  • Collaboratively supporting multidisciplinary teams in the Environmental and Earth Sciences and other Exponent practices on exciting and challenging projects
  • Investing in your professional development
  • Attending conference presentations and participating in journal publications
  • Expanding your professional visibility
  • Developing client relationships
  • Assisting with Exponent's business development efforts
