Environmental Science Intern
About The Position
SCS Engineers is looking for a summer 2026 intern for our Charleston, SC office. This opportunity offers valuable hands-on experience in both technical and environmental business operations through a diverse range of client projects while giving you the chance to explore the beginnings of your own career path. As an intern, you'll work alongside experienced professionals on projects centered around various aspects of site inspections and site history review, geographic information systems (GIS), soil and groundwater investigation/remediation, brownfield redevelopment, site development, and other projects. You will typically work 40 hours per week.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in geology, hydrogeology, soil science, environmental science, environmental or geological engineering and graduating by June 2028 required.
- Must be willing to live in the Charleston area for Summer 2026 (housing will not be provided).
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Great attention to detail and solid judgment.
- A valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required.
Nice To Haves
- ArcGIS and/or AutoCAD experience preferred.
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
