About The Position

Tetra Tech is seeking an engineering or environmental science intern for their Duluth, GA office. The intern will learn the general principles of environmental consulting and develop skills related to their program of study. This full-time summer position offers opportunities to work on various projects in environmental consulting, including contaminated site assessment and remediation, natural resource management, emergency and disaster response, Brownfields redevelopment, environmental compliance, and waste management. The intern will collaborate with world-class engineers, scientists, and technical specialists, gaining valuable experience and expanding their professional network.

Requirements

• Knowledge of data collection and tabulation in preparation of scientific documents.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite with expertise in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to format and produce reports as well as maintain file management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage time well and work on tasks as part of a larger project team.
• Strong health and safety ethic.
• Self-motivated and able to take directions.
• Ability to function in an office environment for office-based tasks.

Responsibilities

• Data management including the collection and entry of data for evaluation by senior project staff.
• Data interpretation/analyses consistent with local, state and federal regulations and in support of projects primarily in the Southeast.
• Assistance with report development and production.
• Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.
• Opportunities for field work support including environmental site assessments, multi-media sampling efforts, and facility audits/inspections.
