We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Professional Intern to join our Environmental Affairs Team at Walt Disney World. This team is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the environment through intelligent business practices and active community outreach. Our engineers and environmental professionals work diligently to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while promoting environmentally responsible operations. The internship is set to take place from January 2025 to June 2025, and it is a full-time position requiring full availability throughout the internship period. As a Professional Intern, you will work closely with Environmental Affairs Representatives to familiarize yourself with regulated equipment on-site, including emergency generators, petroleum storage tanks, and grease traps. You will be responsible for developing a process and database for managing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data related to this equipment. This will involve gathering vital GIS data through fieldwork, researching existing databases, and collaborating with various partners. Additionally, you will develop and implement an Operating Guideline to ensure the continual update of GIS data and parameters, contributing to the overall mission of the Environmental Affairs Team.
