About The Position
TechLaw Consultants has been an environmental consulting firm since 1983, providing services to federal, state and commercial clients. We specialize in managing environmental risks, offering sustainable solutions, and responding to environmental disasters. Notable incidents we have handled include the Space Shuttle Columbia Explosion, Pacific Ocean typhoons, the East Palestine, OH, hazardous train derailment, California Wildfires and the 2023 Maui wildfires. Our team consists of scientists, engineers, and specialized personnel, delivering advanced, frontline environmental response and support. You are an Environmental Sampling Technicians/Driver collecting air sample media from monitoring devices at various locations in the Boston Metropolitan area. A company vehicle is provided and is picked up/dropped off daily at the company site in either the Boston or Lowell area. Local travel throughout the Boston area is required and can vary from 50 to 110 miles per day. Candidates should be able to multitask, be highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently, with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of general work experience preferred, but not required
- Environmental training, such as OSHA 40/24 Hour HazMat certification, preferred, but not required
- Data recording and processing skills preferred, but not required
- A valid driver's license with a safe driving record
- Authorized to work in the USA
- At least 18 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Meticulously document all air sampling tasks (training is provided)
- Use mobile devices
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Work weekdays, weekends and holidays from 4:30 to 10 a.m. daily (includes commute to pick up/drop off company vehicle)
