About The Position

The Environmental Safety & Training Manager responsibility is to lead our company's efforts in maintaining a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote sustainable practices across our organization. This position assesses company-wide needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in EHS management within a manufacturing, industrial, or corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct thorough investigations and analyze complex safety data.
  • Certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Develops training programs and objectives.
  • Trains and coaches managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide training and education to employees on safety protocols, environmental policies, and emergency response procedures.
  • Collaborate with various departments to integrate safety and environmental considerations into operational processes.
  • Stay current with evolving regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to environmental health and safety.
