About The Position

The Environmental Safety and Health (ESH) Manager at Sure Power, Inc. is responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations across the organization. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining various EHS programs, providing training, and conducting inspections to promote workplace safety and compliance. The ESH Manager will also manage insurance claims, analyze safety data, and collaborate with clients on safety concerns, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in ESH, engineering, or related field.
  • 7 years of ESH experience or equivalent.
  • CSP certification preferred.
  • Ability to be certified as a Forklift trainer, Red Cross Instructor, and OSHA Outreach Trainer.
  • Proficient in understanding and application of OSHA, EPA, DOT, GMP, DHS, FMCSA, NFPA, and workers comp regulations.
  • Knowledgeable in material handling, HAZCOM, fall protection, technical writing, lockout, spill response, and driving safety.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn company applications.
  • Knowledge of electronic and mechanical concepts, including troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and ensures compliance with regulatory standards including OSHA standards and environmental regulations.
  • Investigates health and safety related incidents to determine root causes and develop prevention recommendations.
  • Manages insurance claims related to health and safety incidents.
  • Develops and provides occupational safety and health training to staff including managers and employees.
  • Prepares reports and oversees health and safety records.
  • Analyzes health and safety data to target injury prevention programs.
  • Maintains current information in the field of occupational safety and stays informed on relevant legislation.
  • Develops, maintains, reviews, and revises occupational safety policies and procedures.
  • Conducts health and safety inspections to identify hazards and recommend controls.
  • Oversees client pre-evaluation as it relates to ESH.
  • Chairs the State certified Safety Committee.
  • Develops and implements Emergency Preparedness activities, including hazardous materials training and response.
  • Provides technical advice on environmental, health and safety issues.
  • Maintains fire protection systems and equipment, mitigating building fire hazards.
  • Performs site visits and evaluations to ensure compliance.
  • Oversees environmental compliance/recycling program.
  • Collaborates with clients on safety concerns, including writing JHA's and AHA's.
  • Evaluates work operations and selects appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Oversees hazardous waste program to ensure compliance with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.
  • Writes reference procedures and standard operating procedures.
  • Manages Worker's Compensation program.
  • Organizes and executes training sessions for all employees, ensuring consistency in content.
  • Manages and maintains training records and LMS.
  • Develops training analytics to evaluate the application of training programs.
