About The Position

As a Safety and Health Engineer with Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS), your role is pivotal in ensuring a safe and environmentally responsible workplace. Your responsibilities will encompass both operational and strategic aspects of the site's Safety and Health programs and the Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) management system. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in industrial hygiene or a related field from an accredited college.
  • 5+ years minimum performing industry hygiene related tasks.
  • Experience with site exposure assessments, employee air and noise sampling, PPE evaluation and assessment.
  • Experience or knowledge of Respirator Protection Program, Ventilation system reviews, Asbestos Management, Hearing Conservation Program Laser and Radiation Safety, Confined Space Entry and Hazmat response.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Adept with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel and Word).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Collaborative and able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Safety Professional or willingness to obtain a certification.
  • Experience interfacing with OSHA and other regulatory agencies.
  • Knowledge of and experience with ESH management system elements.
  • Experience authoring command media and program documentation.
