About The Position

INTERA is offering a summer internship for 2025, providing a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in geoscience and engineering. Interns will work closely with risk assessment professionals on the Hanford Site cleanup project, receiving mentorship from experienced experts in the field.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a college degree in biology, toxicology, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Completed coursework in biology, chemistry, and statistics is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of risk and dose assessments for the Hanford Site's cleanup.
  • Conduct statistical analysis of environmental sample results.
  • Assist in human and ecological risk assessment procedures for radiological and chemical contaminants.
  • Manage waste in accordance with Federal and State regulatory programs.
