The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As an Environmental Regulatory Counsel, you will provide specialized legal guidance that supports the company’s compliance with global environmental requirements and strengthens its environmental management systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in at least one core environmental regulatory area – water, air, or waste – along with the ability and willingness to develop expertise across the others. This position requires close collaboration with cross‑functional teams, business leadership, environmental professionals, and external authorities to ensure the company meets its regulatory, operational, and strategic objectives. Here, you will make an impact by: Advising on federal, state, local, and international environmental requirements tied to expertise and experience in area(s) of water, air, or hazardous and solid waste management, including the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, RCRA, CERCLA/SARA, EPCRA, and related regulations. Supporting compliance initiatives by providing legal reviews, assessing regulatory obligations, interpreting environmental requirements, and advising on compliance strategies. Working with global colleagues to address environmental compliance needs across international facilities. Providing legal guidance on contaminated site investigations, remediation projects, and related regulatory processes. Assisting with developing and implementing environmental compliance programs, risk assessments, audit activities, and standard operating procedures. Participate in environmental due diligence during acquisitions and support post‑closing integration efforts. Support environmental aspects of real estate transactions, including evaluating potential liabilities and advising on regulatory obligations. Contribute to corporate environmental strategy by assessing regulatory trends and advising on long-term compliance planning. Helping develop training and communication materials to strengthen environmental compliance awareness across the organization.
