About The Position
The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Environmental Public Health Specialist (with option to underfill as Environmental Public Health Technician). The Environmental Public Health Specialist position will monitor regulated facilities for compliance with local, state and federal public health/environmental laws. This position will investigate complaints related to environmental hazards and infectious agents and educate stakeholders on regulations as they apply to their facility using the latest scientific knowledge. Additionally, the specialist will engage community partners in developing policies and procedures to utilize resources to protect the public's health.
