About The Position
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is seeking diverse individuals from all backgrounds to apply for a career position that makes a direct impact on improving the lives of Colorado citizens. Our mission is to advance Colorado's health and protect the places we live, work, learn, and play. This position exists to become a fully functional environmental protection specialist specializing in product stewardship programs for hard to recycle materials. Under supervision and support of other recycling and producer responsibility specialists in the unit, the position will conduct inspections for the Paint Stewardship Programs, provide compliance assistance and technical outreach to the regulated community, and collect, analyze, and evaluate waste diversion recycling data associated with hard to recycle materials and authorized product stewardship programs.
