About The Position
The Environmental Protection Dispatcher plays a crucial role in the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) by serving as a communication link between various operations, public safety agencies, and the public. This permanent, full-time position operates within a 24/7 Emergency Dispatch Center, primarily covering 3rd shift on weekends and 2nd shift during the week. The dispatcher is responsible for managing urgent communications, making quick decisions, and maintaining composure in high-stress situations to ensure effective emergency response and public safety.
