About The Position
The State of Connecticut, Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) is seeking to fill one (1) Air Pollution Control Engineer 3 vacancy within the Field Enforcement Unit of the Enforcement Division of the Bureau of Air Management. This position is located in Hartford, Connecticut. The incumbent will be responsible for performing the most technically complex duties within these functional areas, including training and mentoring training- and journey-level staff. The position will require routine in-state travel in support of the unit's work, e.g., conducting on-site inspections as well as infrequent out-of-state travel for training and to attend regional and national work groups and conferences. This position will be located at DEEP Headquarters, at 79 Elm Street, Hartford, CT. This is a full-time, 35 hour per week, Monday through Friday position. This position may include opportunities for a hybrid schedule that includes telework.
