About The Position

The Environmental Project Manager at AECOM is responsible for managing environmental projects, including site investigations and remediation efforts. This role involves overseeing project objectives, providing mentorship to staff, engaging with clients, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Requirements

  • BS in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Two or more years of experience in site investigation, remediation, project management, and business development.
  • US citizenship is required due to the nature of the role.
  • Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check.

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience in site investigation, remediation, project management, and business development.
  • Licensed (Professional Engineer or Geologist).
  • Experience working with Local and State regulatory agencies.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certified (current).
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Understand site investigation and remediation techniques to drive solutions for clients.
  • Manage overall project management and establish project-specific objectives.
  • Provide management and guidance to AECOM staff, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Engage existing and potential clients regarding AECOM service capabilities.
  • Mentor staff and oversee project delivery according to specifications, budget, and schedule.
  • Determine and define project scope and objectives.
  • Supervise the management of all phases of projects.
  • Predict resource needs and manage resources effectively.
  • Provide technical oversight and quality control.
  • Provide project updates to stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks.
  • Consistently deliver profit margins as planned.
