We are seeking a Environmental Project Manager EIR Project Manager 1 to join our Charlotte, NC team. Come join us.

Requirements

  • BS in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
  • 2 years of related environmental consulting experience and local experience with regulatory agencies in North Carolina
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and provide leadership to diverse teams
  • Technical oversight of professional staff for environmental assessment and remediation projects
  • Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
  • Commitment to safety

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Registration (PG or PE) in good standing, preferably in North Carolina
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PC applications; WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint
  • Experience with implementation and supervision of health and safety requirements
  • 40 Hour Hazwoper certification
  • Strong technical analytical and research skills
  • Ability to pass a background check for clearance to work on various private and government facilities

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of technical staff, including workload and staffing management
  • Mentor and train staff and foster their professional development
  • Perform site investigations for a variety of contaminant sources, including landfill, RCRA, industrial, brownfields, retail, petroleum, and dry cleaning sites
  • Conduct field activities such as soil and groundwater sampling, installation of soil borings and monitoring wells, installation and sampling of soil gas monitoring points, UST removal and indoor air sampling
  • Demonstrate an understanding of vapor intrusion investigations and current and emerging vapor intrusion practices
  • Communicate effectively in writing and orally, experienced with stakeholder communication and public speaking
  • Utilize innovative or emerging technologies at petroleum and dry cleaning facilities to solve complex issues
