The Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM), which oversees over $2 billion in capital programs and projects, is responsible for capital planning, project delivery, property management, and real estate services for the Commonwealth. DCAMM is a central agency in implementing several key policy priorities of the Healey-Driscoll Administration, including promoting decarbonization and climate resilience in all state facilities, identifying and facilitating opportunities to repurpose underutilized state property for housing production, and increasing the participation of underrepresented groups in public construction contracting and in the public construction workforce. This Environmental Project Manager position is part of the Environmental Services Unit and will be responsible for day-to-day coordination and execution of complex environmental compliance, environmental assessment, remediation, corrective action and industrial hygiene projects. Incumbent responsible for the overall execution of each project assigned. This position will use her/his environmental subject matter expertise in managing environmental projects, including coordinating the efforts of the project team to ensure successful planning and execution of projects, collaborating with internal and external clientele to develop project schedules and milestones, establish project deliverables, commitments, and resolve deficiencies. The selected candidate will be responsible for: the generation of technical scopes of work and cost estimates; the generation, revision, and production of reports throughout the life cycle of each project; and for quality control review of technical report deliverables to both internal agency staff and public regulatory agencies. In addition, proactive management and communication regarding project status and technical assessment outcomes is a primary responsibility of this position, with consultants/contractors, internal clients and DCAMM management. He/she will be also responsible to represent the Environmental Services Unit with other DCAMM Business Units, other Commonwealth Agencies, the public, and interested stakeholders, as assigned. This position requires a motivated and capable person that can proactively manage and complete multiple tasks/projects with varying schedules. The position will report to 1 Ashburton Place in Boston, MA but includes both office and field responsibilities. This position is eligible for hybrid work.
