GHD's Southeast Environmental group has an opportunity for an Environmental Project Engineer / Scientist in Florida! This position is an integral part of our environmental services group and requires a diverse array of skills and abilities to provide technical management of environmental assessment, remediation, compliance, or due diligence projects, to support the growth of the practice, and to accomplish the objectives of the team. In this role, you will be tasked with supporting and managing GHD's existing environmental projects in Florida and surrounding states in the southeast. This role will require a strong technical background in environmental assessment, remediation, compliance, and/or due diligence. Requirements

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or related field of study
  • Professional licensure (PG or PE) preferred
  • Experience in a business development role that included lead generation, networking, new client development, and expansion of portfolios with existing clients is a plus and a strong differentiator
  • Experience in client relationship development/management and business development with strong client relationships; local or regional client experience is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation including presenting technical information in a concise and professional manner

Responsibilities

  • Participating & leading project teams in the planning, design, and execution environmental compliance, due diligence, assessment, and remedial programs
  • Project management and leadership of various environmental due diligence, assessment, remediation, and compliance projects including maintenance of project scope, schedule, budget and quality through the coordination of project teams and via direct client communication
  • Supporting existing GHD clients with the implementation of cost-effective and innovative solutions to address their environmental liabilities and concerns
  • Identifying and supporting business development, client expansion, and proposal development activities for our environmental practice based in Tampa, Florida
  • Supporting GHD's development of environmental projects in the public and private sector throughout our Southeast region
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients
