Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in related field (Environmental Science/Engineering); minimum of three years of related experience performing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA’s). In lieu of degree, five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license required with no significant MVA points/violations (clean driving record).
  • Personal credit sufficient to charge business travel expenses of up to $3,000 required.
  • Current AHERA, Asbestos Inspector Certification, or OSHA-40-hour certification.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.
  • Must pass a background check / drug screen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Performing Environmental Site Assessments (ESA’s) nationwide as well as other property related services.
  • Conducting interviews with property owners, occupants, key site personnel and local government officials to obtain information concerning the environmental conditions related to the property and adjacent properties.
  • Performing limited screenings for the presence of asbestos, lead-based paint, radon, and lead in drinking water. Screenings may include collection of samples.
  • Writing reports, taking into consideration any unique client scope requirements, which convey the environmental assessment and provide exhibits which illustrate or clarify information presented in the body of the report.
