The Environmental Program Manager for Water Quality at Travis County is responsible for overseeing and managing three key water-related programs: Stormwater, Water Quality, and Hydrogeology.   • Direct planning, development, and implementation of policies and programs to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Provide recommendations to the Environmental Officer and Commissioners Court on environmental policy matters.
  • Represent the County before regulatory agencies at various levels.
  • Oversee research and provide reports on natural resources issues to the Commissioners Court.
  • Manage and supervise professional and technical staff, including recruitment and performance management.
  • Direct the civil environmental enforcement program and maintain a database for enforcement activities.
  • Implement air and water quality program elements and ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Manage environmental grant programs and seek funding for various projects.
  • Plan, scope, schedule, and budget natural resources protection projects.
  • Review environmental remediation and enhancement plans for compliance with standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in natural resources or environmental analysis and grant management, including two years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License.
  • Master's degree in Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
