About The Position

Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) is seeking an Environmental Permitting Specialist. The Specialist is responsible for executing and managing environmental programs, including the preparation of required reports, permits, and compliance plans. The position partners closely with EHS and Operations teams to monitor environmental performance, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in environmental practices.

Requirements

  • Degree in environmental engineering/environmental science or related environmental field and/or relevant work experience in the environmental compliance field
  • Expertise in air permitting
  • Ability to manage relationships with various vendors (such as waste disposal vendors and stack testing vendors)
  • Ability to work independently working to execute multiple time-sensitive reports at one time
  • Very strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office programs specifically Excel and Word
  • Ability to learn new programs and processes
  • Very strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • College degree relative to environmental engineering
  • Required minimum experience 5 years in environmental compliance management
  • Required minimum experience of 3 years in major source air permitting (Title V)
  • Working knowledge of environmental compliance aspects such as: stormwater, wastewater, waste and emergency planning

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in working with web-based collaborative platforms such Gensuite is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Regular daily tactical communications with Environmental Manager
  • Provide daily support to all Carlisle CR manufacturing facilities to ensure all required compliance reporting (such as stormwater and air emission reporting) is executed accurately and on time
  • Develop and implement site-specific environmental compliance assurance systems
  • Execute air permit emission calculations and submissions
  • Manage new source air permitting
  • Ensure all new and existing environmental aspects are accurately entered and maintained into all on-line environmental tools
  • Ensure accurate notifications are executed though on-line environmental compliance tools
  • Assist sites in their preparation of required site-specific environmental plans such as stormwater, spill, and waste minimization
