About The Position

The Environmental Operator works with the Environmental Health and Safety team to ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is being tracked, distributed and cleaned. You will be an integral part of assisting with orientation, hygiene studies and tests. The Environmental Operator operates and maintains wastewater treatment system/equipment, ensuring compliance with state and federal environmental protection limits. This role also involves performing appropriate analytical tests and maintaining documentation.

Requirements

• 2-year degree and experience
• 1-3 years’ manufacturing/plant experience in hazardous material production environment
• Forklift certification
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

• Wastewater certification

Responsibilities

• Monitor movement, removal, storage, labeling, and shipping of hazardous waste
• Distribute and track inventory of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Track timeliness and perform schedule daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly inspections of various areas, equipment and processes
• Assist Department Manager with new hire orientation, industrial hygiene studies and test
• Perform necessary housekeeping in department areas; e.g. baghouses and storm water routes
