This internship provides hands-on experience in how environmental regulations and Nutrien's day-to-day operations interact, offering insight into environmental risk management, compliance, and sustainability. Interns are introduced to how companies manage the practical challenges of balancing production demands with environmental performance improvements.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a 2 to 4 year Environmental Engineering or Environmental Sciences [Biology, Geology, Chemistry, Hydrology] degree or equivalent related program with a graduation date of Aug 2026 or later.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside Nutrien's Corporate Environmental Operations Team, which provides environmental compliance and risk management support to Nutrien's Nitrogen, Phosphate, and Retail Operating Segments.
  • Learning about environmental permits, regulations, and company policies.
  • Assisting Team Members on projects involving environmental risk management and mitigation; and air, water and waste compliance projects.
  • Assisting with updating corporate environmental global standards, training materials, and communications.
  • Participating in routine site visits to support facilities in managing environmental risks and improving environmental performance.
  • Assisting with compiling environmental performance data and preparing presentations for Team leadership.

Benefits

  • Hourly range for this role is between $23.62 - $26.86.
  • Eligible for overtime and any pay elements required under local, state or federal law.
