This position will be posted from 01/06/26 - 01/23/26 This internship provides hands-on experience in multimedia (air, water, waste) environmental compliance and risk management, focusing on how environmental requirements are integrated into Nutrien’s day-to-day operations. Interns gain exposure to environmental management across chemical manufacturing and the agricultural commodities supply chain.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a 2-to-4-year degree program in Engineering (Environmental, Civil, Chemical), Environmental Sciences (Biology, Geology, Chemistry, Hydrology) or equivalent related program with a graduation date of Dec 2026 or later.

Responsibilities

  • Gain practical knowledge of environmental permits, regulatory requirements, and corporate environmental policies.
  • Support projects related to environmental risk identification, assessment, and mitigation across air, water, and waste disciplines.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of corporate environmental standards, compliance guidance, training materials, and communications.
  • Participate in site visits to help evaluate compliance status, manage environmental risks, and implement performance improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with the collection, analysis, and reporting of environmental performance data to Environmental Leadership.
