About The Position

The Environmental Operations Co-Op position at Bayer involves assisting in experimental design and data collection in consultation with the project team. The role includes conducting laboratory experiments, such as sample processing and data analysis, and analyzing data to contribute to discussions with the project team to draw meaningful conclusions. Additionally, the incumbent will help manage data and maintain internal documentation, present findings and updates to the team, and participate in group discussions.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree (B.S. or M.S.) in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a similar field
• Relevant coursework or research experience in industrial wastewater treatment, microbiology for wastewater treatment, or data science in environmental engineering
• Wet-lab experience, including sample collection and analysis
• Familiarity with data science tools and software (e.g., R, Python, Excel)

• Self-motivated with good time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
