About The Position

The Environmental Monitoring Sampling Technician I is responsible for performing environmental monitoring in aseptic areas, including the collection of viable air, total particle, surface, personnel, and water samples. This role supports facility environmental monitoring procedures in compliance with cGMP, NNPILP, and corporate policies, while also participating in process improvement initiatives within the department. The position requires adherence to safety and environmental regulations and involves working in a manufacturing environment focused on producing innovative diabetes and obesity treatments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of six months manufacturing experience required (may be waived with related military experience or relevant certifications).
  • Experience working in an FDA regulated environment preferred.
  • Aseptic processing or environmental monitoring experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand product documentation and standard operating procedures with attention to detail required.
  • Strong communication skills and general computer skills (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.

  • Demonstrated expertise in planning/organizing, managing execution, checking results, and revising the work plan in accordance with the daily work plan.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine environmental monitoring in classified production areas.
  • Collect environmental monitoring (EM) and water samples.
  • Document all work in accordance with GMP, site, and corporate procedures and policies.
  • Utilize PEMS system to create labels and collect EM samples.
  • Utilize gLIMS system to create labels and collect utility samples.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
  • Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
