About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Monitoring Microbiologist to oversee environmental monitoring and microbiological testing in a controlled manufacturing environment. This role combines hands-on laboratory responsibilities with leadership duties, including team support, training, and process coordination. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, organizational abilities, and a commitment to upholding compliance and quality standards.

Requirements

  • 0-2 Years of cGMP experience
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, or other science-related degree concentration, and 2-4 years of related experience
  • 0-1 year of previous leadership experience
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

  • Experience with LIMS preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties associated with the Quality Control Microbiology Analyst role.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring and compressed gas sampling in controlled environments.
  • Collect water and clean steam samples from manufacturing systems.
  • Manage laboratory support functions, including inventory control of supplies, media, and reagents.
  • Prepare and complete laboratory investigation reports.
  • Utilize the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for sample tracking and test result documentation.
  • Schedule routine tasks on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Maintain a strong work ethic and meet physical requirements, including: Lifting objects of 25 lbs. or more. Walking and standing for extended periods. Pushing/pulling carts and equipment. Bending and reaching for supplies.
  • Support and monitor the performance of a team of analysts.
  • Participate in new hire interviews and assist with onboarding processes.
  • Train and mentor team members.
  • Conduct peer reviews of data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and calibration activities.
