We are seeking an Environmental Manager for our First Quality Tissue Midwest, LLC facility located in Defiance, OH. This position will be responsible for organizing, managing, developing and maintaining compliance with FQTMW’s environmental programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, or related field required.
  • Five years of environmental program leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Air, waste, wastewater and storm water permitting experience.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local environmental rules and regulations.
  • Possess and steadfastly adhere to high moral principles and professional standards.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and training skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain environmental policies, procedures and training programs.
  • Maintain environmental management system.
  • Maintain all air quality control, waste disposal and raw water/wastewater treatment systems.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies regarding environmental programs.
  • In conjunction with the environmental director, respond to customer inquiries regarding environmental matters.
  • Prepare all required reports for submission to regulatory agencies.
  • Make sure FQTMW is in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local environmental rules and regulations.
  • Leads the investigation of environmental incidents.
  • Represents FQTMW in community or industry environmental groups.
  • Maintain positive relationships with environmental regulators and departments.
  • Actively participate in the divisional environmental team.
